Milestones
1. On January 4, 2016, Shanghai Superintense Ultrafast Laser Facility was approved by Shanghai Development and Reform Commission for "Project Proposal" (Shanghai Development and Reform High-tech 〔2016〕 No. 1);

2. On April 1, 2016, the "Feasibility Study Report" approved by Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission (Shanghai Development and Reform High-tech 〔2016〕 No. 39);

3. On September 22, 2016, the "Preliminary Design Report" approved by Shanghai Housing and Urban and Rural Construction Management Commission (Shanghai Construction heald gauge 〔2016〕 No. 798);

4. On November 20, 2016, the construction of the installation began;

5. On October 24, 2017, technical verification experiment of 10 PW amplification and compression was achieved, which was the highest peak laser pulse power known in the world at that time;

6. On July 2, 2018, the first optical platform entered the site;

7. On September 6, 2019, the construction and safety project completion inspection and acceptance by Shanghai Quality and Safety Supervision Station;

8. On December 7, 2019, the 10PW laser system passed the process test and test review, and the average peak power was 11.7 PW (the highest peak power was 12.9 PW), breaking the world record again;

9. On June 13, 2020, the 1 PW laser system with repetition rate passed the process test evaluation;

10. On August 15, 2020, the Big Molecule Dynamics and Extreme-fast Chemistry research platform passed the process test evaluation;

11. On November 1, 2020, the Ultrafast Sub-atomic Physics research platform passed the process test evaluation;

12. On December 6, 2020, the Dynamic of Materials under Extreme Conditions research platform passed the process test evaluation;

13. On December 28, 2020, Shanghai Superintense Ultrafast Laser Facility project passed the acceptance inspection.
