The 10PW laser system primarily serves as a light source for Ultrafast Sub-atomic Physics (USAP) research platforms. It can provide users with a focused laser intensity exceeding 1022W/cm2, with a temporal contrast ratio better than 10-10@ -100ps and 10-8@ ns (pre-pulses). This high-performance laser condition can be used for experimental research in strong-field physics, such as intense laser-driven ion acceleration, electron acceleration, positron acceleration, radiation sources, and strong-field quantum electrodynamics. It can provide high-quality ion sources, electron sources, positron sources, and radiation sources.

Simultaneously, the front end of the 10PW laser system also provides laser for Dynamic of Materials under Extreme Conditions (DMEC) research platforms. The output laser wavelength is 800nm, and the output energy can be adjusted from 10mJ to 200mJ. With a pulse width of 30fs, it can provide users with a focused laser intensity exceeding 1014W/cm2 under high-performance laser conditions. It mainly facilitates research on the interaction between femtosecond lasers and materials, particularly in the field of ultrafast nonlinear aspects of atomic, molecular, and solid-state materials.
